Basic with a touch of sparkle!

I seem to be getting a bit quicker in applying my makeup... at least some days!

Today's look is quite simple.

I used the very light bisque color and one of the dark browns from the BH Cosmetics palette, Maybelline Eye Studio gel liner in Blackest Black and MAC Powersurge eyeliner and NYX lipgloss in Sweetheart.

I begin my Christmas holiday halfway through the day today and am off for almost 2 weeks. I plan to experiment on some looks. Yay!

Aqua and blue

All blues come from the 88 matte palette by BH Cosmetics. Love the colors I've used so far and they are highly pigmented!

Happy Friday!

Just received this last week and opened it (when I was not exhausted from working so much) and it's so pretty! Can't wait to use it!

Green Sparkley

I am not sure how very different this is from some of my other green explorations but oh well!

Ottlite Makeup Mirror

I purchased this yesterday at Target and I absolutely love it! And I got it for $49.99!

The light is the perfect temperature color for applying makeup and I definitely recommend it.

1920s Inspired

Took my Sunday afternoon to experiment and am really happy with the result! Practice will make perfect!

Here are the products I used:

Bobbi Brown foundation stick
Benefit Stay don't Stray primer on lids
NYX white eyeshadow base on lids
Makeup Forever HD powder
NARS Hungry Heart for soft shimmer highlights all over my face

I started by covering lids all the way up to my brows with Revlon Matte eyeshadow in Vintage Lace (off white color).

Next I used Essence gel eyeliner in Berlin rocks with a small flat angled brush and softly drew a line just above the natural crease of my lid then gradually began blending upwards and outwards until a very soft purple overall feel was achieved.

Then I began adding in the red/purple from Maybelline's Amethyst Ablaze along the crease then upwards towards the brow giving it more depth gradually , then added LA Splash's Passionate Plum in the outer crease to increase the intensity/darkness (it's a deep burgundy). To add a bit of punch, I went back with the bright pink also from Amethyst Ablaze and blended just above my crease a little upwards towards the brow.

On to the under eyes!

I took the gel eyeliner again with the flat angled brush and drew a soft line a little below my lash line and again blended until a soft smudged feel was achieved. I went back in with the bright pink and layered over/below the dark purple to give a more expanded dramatic feel.

Then I took a bit of a Covergirl pearl off-white shadow (the color name's come off!) and brushed it in the corners of my eyes to give some sparkle! I also brushed a bit over the lid to give a highlight there as well.

To bump it up even more, I used NYX jumbo pencil on Milk on my waterline.

Lastly, I took Maybelline's Falsies mascara (I think about 3 times!) and applied to upper and lower lashes.

I used Rimmel's Lasting Finish in Autumn and applied to my cheeks, around the sides of my eyes and above my brows either side slightly.

I lined my lips with NYX's liner in Espresso and filled filled in with Wet n Wild's Mega Color lipstick (super creamy by the way!) in 907B.

Whew! I'm
Done!
